Firestone Ride Rite

  • We took an in-depth look at Firestone’s Ride Rite air suspension systems this week. As it turns out, they’re a whole crap ton and a half better than fixed rate rear suspension systems on trucks that haul and tow. Follow Firestone on Twitter to check out their latest developments with Ride Rite.

Spa Francorchamps

  • Spa Francorchamps is most infamous for Eau Rouge, one of the fastest, most challenging racing corners in the world. What Laguna Seca’s Corkscrew is to America, Eau Rouge is to Europe. And this weekend, Spa is hosting the Belgian Grand Prix, the first F1 race in a month. Hamilton, Rosberg, Ricciardo, Vettel, Alonso. They’ll all be there. We won’t be there, but we’ll be following Spa on Twitter, and you should, too.

Saleen

  • California Tuning House Saleen is best known for the wonderful things they do to Mustangs, and their insane supercar, the S7. These days, they don’t discriminate. They tune Challengers and Camaros, too. But now they’ve taken a huge leap, becoming the first tuning house to rework a fully electric production car. The FourSixteen is Saleen’s take on the Tesla Model S. They’ve reworked the final drive, redesigned the nose, and added a ton of aero. Also included are lighter wheels, upgraded suspension, and a faster water pump for better cooling. And, as with all Saleen packages, it looks pretty sweet. Follow Saleen on Twitter for the latest on all their genius creations.

Hertz

  • Hertz Twitter Bio
  • Generally, here in the States, when you step up to a rental desk, it’s a form of punishment, like choosing between which kind of boiled lettuce you’d like to eat. Because most rental cars feel a bit like boiled lettuce. Hertz, however, has historically offered alternatives, renting out Mustangs specifically tuned for Hertz. They started this back in 1966 with a Shelby GT-350H Mustang. Today they rent their “Adrenaline Collection,” with the three big muscle cars and the Corvette, but they’re sadly all shackled with automatics. Now, however, Hertz is considering bringing their Ford Focus ST-H to America. But the Focus ST doesn’t come with an automatic transmission. WHAT WILL YOU DO, HERTZ!? Follow Hertz on Twitter and help them make the right decision.
